Prescription Peptide Therapy for Weight Loss
Dr. Venecia Hernández León offers cutting-edge medical treatments to support patients seeking a non-surgical solution to weight loss. Prescription peptides like SEMA (GLP-1) and TRZPEPTIDE work by mimicking hormones that regulate appetite and fullness, helping you feel satisfied with less food and achieve steady, medically supervised results.
What Is SEMA (GLP-1)?
SEMA GLP-1 is a medication that mimics the natural GLP-1 hormone, which helps regulate hunger and food intake. By reducing appetite and increasing satiety, it supports significant weight loss with minimal invasiveness. Many patients find this therapy effective as a first step in their transformation journey.
What Is TRZPEPTIDE?
TRZPEPTIDE is a dual-action peptide that combines the effects of GLP-1 with another hormone, GIP. This combination enhances the treatment's overall impact, often resulting in more substantial weight loss with improved tolerance for many patients. As with any medical treatment, results may vary, and mild side effects like nausea or gastrointestinal discomfort may occur.
Surgical Procedures in Tijuana
At Tijuana Surgical, Dr. Venecia Hernández León offers a range of advanced laparoscopic and general surgeries tailored to each patient’s needs. From weight loss procedures to hernia repairs, her extensive experience and compassionate care attract patients from across Mexico and the U.S.
This procedure involves removing about 75% of the stomach to create a narrow “sleeve.” Performed laparoscopically in 1 to 2 hours, it does not require bypassing the intestines. Sleeve gastrectomy limits food intake, increases satiety, and leaves nutrient absorption intact. Additionally, it lowers the production of the hunger hormone, making it a powerful tool for long-term weight loss under the care of Dr. Venecia in Tijuana.
These procedures begin by creating a small stomach pouch using surgical staples, limiting food intake. The pouch is then connected to the small intestine, bypassing the duodenum and reducing calorie absorption. This dual approach—restrictive and malabsorptive—leads to sustained weight loss. Dr. Venecia Hernández León performs both techniques safely and effectively for her Tijuana Surgical patients.
Nissen Fundoplication is a surgical procedure used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). It involves wrapping the upper part of the stomach (fundus) around the lower end of the esophagus to reinforce the valve between them. This reduces acid reflux symptoms and strengthens the lower esophageal sphincter. Dr. Venecia performs this procedure with precision, helping patients in Tijuana live more comfortably.
This minimally invasive surgery removes the gallbladder when gallstones (cholelithiasis) are present. Gallstones are often made of cholesterol and can range in size from a grain of sand to a golf ball. While many people are asymptomatic, some experience pain—especially after eating fatty foods. Dr. Venecia’s laparoscopic approach ensures effective relief with quicker recovery times.
